Hope Creek Care Center houses a 70-bed secured unit for people who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and/or dementia.
Dementia is a general term that describes symptoms associated with memory loss, or a decline in mental ability – significant enough to interfere with a person's daily living or activities. Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia.
Memory Care includes such things as frequent reminders, redirection, and calm reassurance. It includes caring for those whose thought process is impaired and may need step-by-step instruction or direction with simple tasks.
At Hope Creek Care Center we have a secured Memory Care Unit specifically for those with a diagnosis of dementia and/or Alzheimer disease. Our Memory Care Unit has two nursing supervisors, the Unit Manager, as well as, a Memory Care Coordinator, that coordinates the day to day care of our residents. Our Memory Care Unit also has round the clock nurses and certified nursing aids to assist with our residents daily living activities. You will be able to leave them with us knowing they are living in a secure and loving environment.
A diagnosis of a dementia and or Alzheimer disease, is a prerequisite to live in our Memory Care Unit.
