1970 to 2017

As the Oak Glen Home building became antiquated and new services and growth were in demand, the Rock Island County Board decided it was time to provide the citizens of Rock Island County with a new facility, thus Hope Creek Care Center came to be. Moving to a new location, one that was more accessible to the metropolitan area with hospitals and medical services nearby, was the first step in the process of erecting a new facility.
Once the land was been acquired from the Curry family and Curry Construction at the new location, 4343 Kennedy Drive, East Moline, the groundbreaking was held and the building process began. After nearly two years of construction, Hope Creek Care Center’s doors were opened at the end of April 2009.
Today, Hope Creek serves as home to 245 residents living within seven nursing units of 35 residents each. The current structure was financed through the sale of bonds and was built at a cost of just over $25,000,000.00. This state of the art facility is licensed by the State of Illinois and is accredited by CMS and DHS. The facility provides various levels of care including skilled care, short term rehab acute stays, respite care, intermediate care and hospice care.
